So, I took my recently acquired Tamron 90mm Macro out to the Bush library today.
Obviously, not the most amazing Macro shots ever, but hey.. it was my first day to really try. After I got home, I messed around with the lens a bit more, with this probably being the most interesting result:
First of all, apologies to any of you that might have actually been checking this over the past two (or so) months. I’ve had a few computer problems recently (a busted hard drive, to be specific), and haven’t really had the time and such to post an update.
Since I still don’t have some sort of workable album setup going, I’m just going to post a collection of pictures that I have sitting on my computer. Enjoy!
This sign at a local church caught my eye – I’m not going to really write any commentary about it, as people much better at that sort of thing have written quite a bit about such topics. It’s just something that I noticed, and I honestly don’t know if it’s something to be laughed at or genuinely concerned about.
On another note, I’ve been in Northern California/Southern Oregon for the past few days, so, when I get everything worked out with Simpleviewer, I’ll be back with some pictures from that excursion.
My D80 arrived yesterday, and I got my first chance to get out and use it today. I don’t have any real thoughts/reactions to the camera yet – it frustrates me quite a bit at times, but I think that’s more related to the fact that there is still a huge amount for me to actual learn about the D80 itself than anything else.
At any rate, these were taken at the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens – nothing very impressive, mind you, but I’m trying.
